Descriptive Summary

The physical holdings of the Arthur Wood Papers (linked below) bulk with the full-run of the The Kerrville Kronikle, spanning 1988-2004. Billed originally as “a transatlantic tribute,” the publication ranges from serious music history to tantalizing gossip to madcap humor, all reflecting the spirit of the events mounted at Quiet Valley Ranch and the diverse international community that populates it.

Yet Wood’s penchant for music critique was already emerging prior to that first 1986 visit to Quiet Valley Ranch. This digital collection highlights the full breadth of his momentous body of written works. Dating all the way back to his first 1978 review of Juice Newton in Nuggets, the collection covers multiple decades and hundreds of articles and reviews in a variety of fanzines, websites, and other publications. The digital holdings begin with an autobiography, provided by Wood for this collection, and contains fifteen additional publications including digitized editions of his Kerrville Kronikle.

The collection is in good condition and is part of the Southwest Music Archive.
