Description
The 1925 Board of Directors meeting minutes includes the 1/6/25 (Fort Worth) meeting which had a unanimous resolution that no hazing of students would be permitted; the 4/14/25 (Fort Worth) meeting which details building and construction cost concerns, a preliminary school calendar and the hiring of physicians; the 5/8/25 (Fort Worth) meeting covered construction concerns, and salaries for newly hired faculty; the 6/26/25 (Lubbock) meeting detailed concerns with a school cafeteria and building space allocations; the 7/18/25 (Lubbock) neeting at which the new coach discussed the athletic budget, the placing of a bookstore and post office in the Administration basement, the establishment of scholarships, and related building expenses; the 8/15/25 (Fort Worth) meeting covers opening ceremony speakers, the athletic fund, and medallions on the Administration Building; and the 10/27/25 (Fort Worth) meeting includes enrollment figures, the completion of the Textile Engineering Building, and the death of a football player.
This 33-page document is part of a bound set of Board of Directors meeting minutes dated 1923-1938 that had been loaned to the University Archives for scanning by the Board of Regents Office. Each year's meeting minutes have been scanned separately rather than as a multi-year bound volume. The administrative body once known as the Board of Directors is now called the Board of Regents.
