Description
The digital file consists of three issues of the Tex Talks publication published by the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association. The February, 1959, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as the passing of two Tech professors - H. F. Godeke and A. O Monasch; the installation of Beta Alpha Psi; and the first annual Pre-Med Day on the Tech campus.
The May, 1959, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as Tech's installation of a sub-critical nuclear assembly; the success of cartoonist Bill Tippit; Tech's launch of a fine arts center in Moab, Utah; the building of a new classroom and office building; and the golf team's first Southwest Conference championship.
The July, 1959, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as fire damage to Drane Hall; approval for six structures; the resignation of Tech President E. N. Jones; the retirement of five Tech professors; the installation of Beta Gamma Sigma; and the purchase f 24.8 acres for sorority and fraternity housing.
