Description
Group photograph of the 1953 Texas Tech Madrigal Singers group. Handwritten on the back of the photograph are the names of the individuals. Clarence Whiteside - tenor; Tim Magness - bass; Dorothy Magness - soprano; Marjorie Scales - alto; Tom Brown - bass; Marjorie Hendrick - soprano; Billy Cormack - tenor; and Rosemary Sprague - alto. Ira Schantz - director; Med Hardin - accompanist. A note taped on the back of the photograph states "Tech Madrigal Singers in their new costumes which they each designed. Materials were donated by Hemphill-Wells. 1953. Bottom left, reading clockwise: Billy Cormack, Marjorie Scales, Clarence Whiteside, Tim Magness, Dorothy Guinn, Marjorie Hendrick, Rosemary Sprague, center, Tom Brown. Directed by Ira Schantz."
