Artist's statement: "This book was inspired by a 19th century porcelain doll shown on an Antiques Roadshow TV programme. The doll's secret was unknown to its owner, who was very surprised by it's "fortune telling" power. The "fortunes" were hidden within the folds of its paper skirt, as they are within the folds of the pages of this book."
