dc.description	Mohammed Ali Al-Bassam was born on January 22, 1923, in Baquba, Iraq. He received his M.A (1948) and Ph.D. (1951) in mathematics from the University of Texas. He was offered an associate professor position in Mathematics at Texas Technological College in 1960 and went on leaves of absences from 1964-1967. He resigned in 1967.	en_US
