dc.description"The Catalyst" is comprised of 12 pages of student written articles, satires and political statements. This issue covered topics such as the passing of the city ordinance to prevent selling to people in cars which was aimed at The Catalyst; campus police compiling files and footage of people engaged in demonstrations and rallies; recap of elections on the national and local scene; the 1670 trial of William Penn and William Mead; the Halloween march in Austin against the Vietnam war; the debate over a pass-fail system on campus; criticism over the name change to "Texas Tech University Complex"; Lubbock's new draft counseling center; a list of volunteer agencies for students to get involved in; solitications on the Tech campus; and the barring of Chicanos from lubbock schools during Public Education Week. The issue is the dated November 7-21, 1970, and sold for 25 cents.
