Abstract

Description

Photograph of a student reacting at press conference taken on February 13, 1993. The caption that accompanies this photograph states: "Bobby Johnson, spokesperson for Kappa Alpha Psi, a SR architecture major from Dallas, takes off his bandana at the press conference Saturday morning. The minority students wore the bandanas from Jan. 26 to Feb. 13 in protest of the decision in the Pike/FB Issue." The photograph appeared on the cover page of the February 15, 1993 issue of The University Daily with the caption "An act of kindness - Bobby Johnson, a senior architecture major from Dallas, takes off his bandana at the press conference Saturday. The bandanas were a symbol of dissatisfaction with Pi Kappa Alpha's and Fashion Board's 'Party in the Projects' and the controversy that has occurred since October. Many students have been wearing the bandanas since Jan. 26."
