Description

Photograph of four people conducting mesquite eradication. The caption attached to the back of the photograph states: "Bareheaded student - Tom Prickett. Man with hat - Prof. W. F. Gray. Man with cap (foreground) - Prof. C. V. Bullen. Man with cap (background) - unknown. The project is an attempt to find a method for eradicating mesquite trees. The subject is the small bush in the lower center. The application is about 4400 volts AC from the transformer apparatus lower left. The time is 1942, no later than May."
