Photograph of an earth mover leveling the land for the new Ranching Heritage Center headquarters at Texas Tech University taken on May 13, 1970.
The accompanying press release states: "MUSEUM HELP -- Reserve Army engineers operate an 18 cubic yard earth mover to help build a land form for the Ranch Headquarters outdoor exhibit at the Texas Tech University Museum. They are members of Company 8, 980th Engineer Battalion of the U.S. Army Reserve who, in search of a training project, agreed to help the university prepare the land for the historic exhibit."
