Pearce, Head of the Department of History, Anthropology and Sociology, with a ledger book and leather satchel that was part of the early holdings of the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library. The storage space was most likely in the Southwest Collection's original location in the first Texas Tech Museum, which later became Holden Hall. Dr. Pearce did research on the Matador Land and Cattle Company in the Southwest Collection.en_US
