Description
Negative of a portrait of newly inducted Texas Tech Board of Regents member Dr. Bernard A. Harris, Jr. Dr. Harris received his doctorate in medicine from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 1982 and became an astronaut with NASA in 1991. He also became the first African American to walk in space in 1995 as well as the first African American to serve on the Texas Tech Board of Regents.
