Mounted print of Jones Stadium. The caption states: "The east side of Jones Stadium was moved back in 1959-60 in order to enlarge the stadium and convert it into a bowl-like structure. The construction was necessary to fulfill obligations promised when Texas Tech entered the southwestern Conference. The almost unbelievable, and probably unique feat was accomplished using railroad rails and greased steel rollers. Huge crowds gathered each time movers shifted the 5 sections which they had cut the east stands into."en_US
