Abstract
Description
This scrapbook documents the establishment and ongoing history of the Double Key home economics honorary society which became the Omega chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron at Texas Technological College in November of 1937. Although the scrapbook is dated from 1937 to 1958 on the cover, there is actually information dating up to 1989 within the book itself. Texas Tech was the first Texas school to acquire a chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, which was a national professional fraternity. Included in the scrapbook are photographs, news clippings, the chapter's newsletters, handwritten notes and memorabilia. Condition wise the front cover is loose from the binding and many of the items within the scrapbook are loose as well.
