Abstract
Description
Two typed letters from Thos. F. Hodge concerning the establishment of a college in West Texas that eventually became Texas Technological College. The first letter, dated March 24, 1926, is addressed to R. C. Crane and recounts the town of Sweetwater's involvement in helping get a new college in the West Texas area approved by the State of Texas. The second letter, also from Thos. F. Hodge, is dated May 1, 1926, and is comprised of Hodge's comments on inaccuracies in an article written by Hamilton Wright titled "A History of the Texas Tech College."
The documents have been cropped to remove the torn and folded edges of the onionskin paper. There also exists a crease across the lower half of the document. Cite as: Texas Technological College Locating Board Records, 1923 and 1938, Southwest Collection, Texas Tech University.
