Description
This slide is of a pictograph surrounded by graffiti in Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site, located northeast of El Paso, Texas. The slide casing has been labelled by Dr. Robert G. Campbell with the following information: Trip # 334, United States, XXIII, F1, Hueco Tanks St. Pk., Sacramento Upland Site #5, March 1984.
The pictograph appears in the publication “Rock Paintings at Hueco Tanks State Historic Site” by Dr. Kay Sutherland, Texas Parks and Wildlife, 2006, on the 2nd introductory page with the caption “Mescalero Apache design, circa 1800 A.D., part of a rock painting depicting white dancing figures.”
