Description
Undated photograph of Chemistry professor Clinton Marsud McPherson pointing to a periodic chart of the atoms. McPherson was instrumental in helping establish the wine and grape industry in West Texas after receiving permission from the Texas Tech Board of Regents to set up a small winery in the basement of the Chemistry Building which led to the establishment of Llano Estacado Winery in 1976 and McPherson Cellers in 2008.
