Description
Photograph of a Texas Tech homecoming float featuring the mascots of the Southwest Conference. The image appears on the cover of the November 1956 issue of the Texas Techsan magazine with the caption "Sigma Chi's crowd-pleasing 'Looking Forward to '60s' float copped top honors in the mammoth 1956 Homecoming parade early this month. Awarded both the first place plaque for the best fraternity entry, and the rotating Thomas trophy for the best all-around float, the Sigma Chi's are now looking forward to something else - '57 and '58 - years in which they hope to again bring home the huge trophy, thereby clinching it as a permanent possession of the fraternity."
