Description
Negative of a Texas Tech student demonstration to support Clifford Jones for Tech president following the ruling against his appointment by the Attorney General. This image appears in the March, 1939, issue of the Texas Tech Magazine on page 4 with the caption "Tech students demonstrate for Jones - Word that their new president, Clifford B. Jones, had been ruled illegally appointed to his position, spread like wild fire on the Campus Wednesday afternoon and by 4 p.m. less than four hours after word of the Attorney General Gerald C. Mann's ruling had been received, the students staged a demonstration expressing themselves in favor of Mr. Jones."
