Description
The digital file consists of three issues of the Tex Talks publication published by the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association. The January, 1960, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as E. J. Holub as Tech's first All-American player; the name change resolution; the donation of the Elijah P. Lovejoy's papers to the Southwest Collection; and convocation speaker vice Adm. Hyman G. Rickover.
The May, 1960, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as the sixth annual Texas Tech Day; supporters fundraising to complete the expansion of Jones Stadium; the retirement of two Tech professors; the 25th anniversary of the Speech and Hearing Clinic at Tech; and the use of closed-circuit TV in the classroom; the construction of a women's gym; the donation of the Saddle Tramps Spirit Bell No. 1; and the installation of Sigma Xi and Phi Epsilon Kappa.
The July, 1958, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as plans for a Tech Union; election results; and campus construction updates.
