Abstract
Description
For Your Information was a newsletter produced by the Office of University News and Publications at Texas Tech University for distribution to faculty and staff. It covered the highlights of what was happening at the university and listed upcoming events. The issues here are comprised of 25 issues that run from June 2, 1971 to December 17, 1972. A few of the issues are incorrectly numbered, including issue No. 25 which should be 1972 not 1971. Topics covered include faculty hiring and promotions; student highlights such as enrollment and awards; administrative decisions by the Board of Regents; the state of the university address by President Grover Murray; the issue of campus parking; the progress of the School of Medicine; announcements of various speakers and exhibits on campus; the approval of a veterinary school for Tech; installation of the Tech chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa; the old Museum being renamed Holden Hall; the passing of Dr. Whyburn; and the hiring of five African-American faculty members.
