Burns as well as images of the Pitchfork Ranch and its hands in 1980. The Pitchfork Land and Cattle Company was organized in 1881 and incorporated in 1883. The Headquarters is near Guthrie, Texas. Fencing of the Ranch was begun in 1887 and oil drilling was begun in the early 1900s.
