Photograph of education professor Berlie J. Fallon with his one-volume edition of "Educational Innovations in the United States" taken on January 18, 1967. The accompanying press release states "COMPRESSED INFORMATION -- Texas Tech Education Prof. Berlie J. Fallon compares the size of his one-volume edition of "Educational Innovations in the United States" with the bulky stack of yearbook reports from which it was abstracted. Dr. Fallon's compressed version contains resumes of more than 600 new curriculum practices introduced by public school systems since 1957, when Sputnik triggered what has been termed "a revolution in American education."
