Undated photograph of Beatrice Wite Alexander that was stapled to her Texas State College for Women's documentation.
Beatrice Witte Alexander was born on January 1, 1922, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She received her B.A. in French and Spanish in 1942 from Texas State College and her M.A. in Spanish and French in 1946 from the University of Texas. She accepted a temporary French instructor position at Texas Technological College in 1945 and was changed to the rank of assistant professor in 1961. She was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 1971 and retired on August 31, 1984.
