The PDF for the 8/24/68 meeting is 518 pages long and covers topics such as: a report on the state of the School of Arts and Science by its dean; approval for a proposed Master's Degree in Music in Music Theory; approval for the Code of Student Affairs; issuance of constitutional tax bonds; approval of a trust agreement between Mrs. Helen Devitt Jones and Texas Tech; commissioning of peace officers at the college; presentation of a photo of Governor Pat Neff signing the bill that created Texas Tech; and numerous building project updates including additional building funds for the new museum complex and the Civil Engineering laboratory, contract award for the new Range Field Laboratory project wet of Indiana Avenue, and cancellation of plans for a self-service postal unit.
