The PDF for the 12/9/67 meeting is 324 pages long and covers topics such as: academic status reports on the School of Home Economics, the School of Agriculture, and the Lubbock Police Department; revision of the Code of Student Affairs; approval for a proposed charter for a Faculty Council; a proposed Platform for Growth and Development program; articles of incorporation for ICASALS; offer by Junior League of Lubbock for "seed money" to construct a Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center; an honorary degree for Lyndon Baines Johnson; and numerous building project updates including rejection of the original bid for the Biology Building, approval for the Chemistry Building plans, authorization for the construction of the base and seal for the Broadway entrance marker, final location approval for the Law Building at Nineteenth Street and Indiana Avenue, progress on the Textile Chemical Research facility, and the requirement of a post office centrally located on campus.
