Abstract
Description
Photograph of Hui-ying Tseng receiving her master's degree at Texas Tech taken on April 29, 1970. There are three separate press releases accompanying the photograph. One of the accompanying press releases tucked behind the photograph states "CHINESE STUDENT GETS MASTER'S -- Hui-Ying Tseng -- Una to her teachers and fellow students -- has received the first master's degree in agronomy ever to go to a woman at Texas Tech. Dr. Clark Harvey, agronomy professor at Tech, worked closely with her as she specialized in weed control, a thing she hopes to put to good use when she returns to Taipei, Taiwan, after she gets her doctorate from Cornell University."
