Abstract

Description

The "New Morning" newspaper is comprised of 8 pages of student and community written articles and political statements. The new format of the publication, starting with this issue, explains that it is dedicated to the North Lubbock community and thus has a student and Chicano orientation. The issue covered topics such as the creation of Delta Alpha Psi to address diversity issues such as those that face American Indians, Chicanos and Orientals; Ralph Nader on the energy crisis; Ralph Yarborough and the Big Thicket National Park; the increase in foreign students attending Texas Tech; revenue sharing program spending by the City of Lubbock; and an update by politician George Mahon.
