Description

The "New Morning" newspaper is comprised of 12 pages of student written articles, satires and political statements. This issue covered topics such as the shooting of Ernesto Nerios by Lubbock police; the Chicano "March of Faith" on November 7th; a call for reform of the student senate; an interview with Harry Ring; women in a sexist society; the tank maintained by the City of Lubbock; a profile of Los Tertulianos; a Free University Program at Texas Tech; an writer's opinion on what Chicanos want; a profile of a militant woman and the upcoming women's march in Washington; Lubbock's ambulance service; Black activism in Georgia; and anti-war protests.
