Description
Photograph of a portrait of Texas Tech track athlete Sharon Moultrie. Handwritten in black ink on the back of the photograph are the words "Texas Tech Sharon Moultrie Long Jump; 100-M Dash." In 1981, Moultrie became was the first African American, as well as first athlete, to be elected Homecoming Queen at Texas Tech University. She was also the first athlete in TTU Women's Athletics to receive Allamerican honors (1980-1981 and 1981-1982 for long jump). This image appears in the 1982 Texas Tech Women's Athletics spring media guide.
