Description
Undated photograph of an aerial view of the Texas Technological College looking south and east. This is possibly dated in the early 1940s. Buildings visible in the photo include the football stadium, the Intramural (Double T) Gym, the Power Plant, four dormitories (West, Sneed, Doak and Drane Halls), the one-story Museum, the Bookstore, the President's Residence, the Administration Building, Textile Engineering, Engineering, the Military Building, the Press Building, the Library, Chemistry, and Agriculture. Handwritten in cursive ink in the lower right bottom of the photograph are the words "To Our Good Friend Dr. Jones Capt. Byron Goulding U.S.A." Stamped on the back of the photograph are the words "Photographic Department Lubbock Army Flying School Lubbock, Texas.
