Negative of African American students turning their backs in silent protest of the Unity Day ceremonies, as well as the Texas Attorney General's overturning of Texas Tech's sanctions against the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Fashion Board student organizations for holding a "Party in the Projects" mixer on October 9, 1992.
