Description
Photograph of the first student to register at the new Law School taken in 1967. The caption accompanying image # P824, another copy of the same image, states "BUDDING LAWYER -- John Perry Abbott of Lubbock became Texas Tech's first Law School student Monday (Sept. 18) when he reported to the final checker's desk at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. Abbott is a 1959 Mathematics graduate from Tech, where he has been employed until this fall as an accountant in the Comptroller's Office."
