Description
Negative of Morley Jennings, head coach and athletic director at Texas Technological College from 1941-1950 and professor in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation until 1966, receiving a framed "Tyme" cover section from the 1966 La Ventana yearbook dedicated to him. Jennings passed away on May 13, 1985. A similar version of this image appeared in the February 26, 1966 issue of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal with the caption "Tech's 'Man of the Year' - William Morley Jennings, second from left, holds a specially framed copy of a section cover of the La Ventana depicting him as Texas Tech's 'Man of the Year.' Co-editors of the yearbook, Winston Odom, Tech senior from Brownfield, left, and Diane Weddige, senior of Lubbock, right, presented the award in a surprise ceremony at Tech Friday afternoon. Mrs. Jennings, second from right, was on hand for the presentation. (staff photo)"
