Description
Undated photograph of Doug "Nubbin" Hollar as the Masked Rider with the mascot's horse, Charcoal Cody. Hollar served as the Masked Rider from 1963-1964 and 1966-1968. The photograph appears in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal with the caption "Shown above is Doug Hollar, introduced Saturday night at Tech's opening football game as the 1963 'Red Raider' who rides the flying horse around the stadium before each game. He is following in the footsteps of a brother."
