Description
The PDF for the 6/3/67 meeting is 280 pages long and covers topics such as: the naming of the first Horn Professors; departmental name changes for mathematics, architecture, art, as well as the transfer of art from the School of Home Economics to Arts and Sciences; and various building project updates including an addition for the Textile Research facility, a resolution for the purchase of a home for the president of Texas Tech, and 3 name suggestions for the Wiggins Complex (none of which later selected); a resolution that if a name change goes into effect any graduate may request a new diploma with will bear both the old and new names; rejection by Dr. Abernethy of the faculty position; name change from "Textile Research Lab" to "Textile Research Center"; authorization to open a School of Education in September; and approval for preparation of articles of incorporation for ICASALS and the Law School; clarification that any student over 21 may live off campus; and resolutions in memory of Howard Hampton, Karl Hoblitzelle, Evelyn Stovall, and Robert B. Price, as well as a resolution of appreciation for Charles A. Guy.
