Description
Photograph of the only woman registered at the Law School in fall of 1968. The accompanying press release states: "TECH LAW STUDENTS REGISTER -- The only woman in the new class of law students who registered at Texas Tech Friday (Sept. 13) is Mrs. Mary Bobbitt of 3312 56th St., Lubbock. Helping her register is a new member of the Tech Law faculty, Tom Reese, a graduate of the University of Houston Law School and former faculty member at Baylor University. Next up to register is Ralph Gallini of 2212 32nd St., Lubbock, a 1963 graduate of West Texas State University, Canyon, and a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mrs. Bobbitt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Reed of 2804 62nd St., Lubbock, and Gallini's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Gallini, live at 624 East 13th Street, Littlefield. (Tech Photo)."
