Abstract

Description

"Foreword: I am M. A. Warren, aged ninety, wife of Sam Warren and author of the little story of his early life. For more than sixty years, Sam and I, trudged along life’s pathway together. And all the way we thought and said we would write the story of his adventures in the “far West”—and did not. And then one day—came the “Boatman with the silent oars”—and Sam went away, and I am left to write it alone. I’ve done my best, but written words lack so much. The expression of face, the accent of voice, the gesture and the sparkle of the eyes, that was there when he told it, I can not get. How I wish that I could."
