Abstract

Description

This photograph shows an orange pickup truck which has slid partially down into a ditch or hole. A woman and a dog are sitting behind the cab,. The photograph was used as a Christmas postcard for James Linville, dated Dec. 14, 1987, and has the inscription: I was taking notes for a story when I did this... went into the ditch...Utah, summer. It was mailed from Fix Ranch in Troy, Montana. The photograph is part of the Rick Bass Papers, 1986-1997 and undated. This manuscript collection consists primarily of correspondence from Rick Bass to James Linville, editor of The Paris Review. It is part of the James Sowell Family Collection in Literature, Community and the Natural World.
