Description
The 1948 Board of Directors meeting minutes covers the minutes of the 2/14/48 (Lubbock) meeting; the 4/24/48 (Fort Worth) meeting; the 5/8/48 (Lubbock) meeting [the minutes begin at the end of the 4/24 minutes]; the 6/7/48 (Lubbock) meeting; the 7/10/48 (Fort Worth) meeting; the 8/14/48 (Lubbock) meeting; the 9/25/48 (San Antonio) meeting; the 10/30/48 (Lubbock) meeting; and the 12/18/48 (Fort Worth) meeting. The naming of Memorial Circle is approved and sidewalks to be added around the circle in the 2/14 minutes.

This 134-page document is part of a bound set of Board of Directors meeting minutes dated 1948-1949 that had been loaned to the University Archives for scanning by the Board of Regents Office. Each year's meeting minutes have been scanned separately rather than as a multi-year bound volume. The administrative body once known as the Board of Directors is now called the Board of Regents.
