PBPM 79-039.033.01 Inscription (on back): Col-Tex Refinery L.J. 6-27-77 Enclosed note: The following crude oil refineries were established in the Permian Basin of West Texas during the middle and late 1920's: 1) Col-Tex Refining Company, Colorado (later Colorado City), Mitchell County, Texas; 2) G. L. Rowsey, et al., d.b.a. Great Western Refining Company, Big Spring, Howard County, Texas; and 3) Constantine Bros., Wickett, Ward County, Texas, each and all of which had access to oil loading racks located along the Texas & Pacific Railway Co.
