Abstract

Description

The digital file consists of four issues of the Tex Talks publication published by the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association. The February, 1956, issue is four pages long and lists the names of alumni donors to the Loyalty Fund.
The May, 1956, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as student election results; details for celebrating the third annual Texas Tech Day; the upcoming release of the First Thirty Years book; the installment of a pre-enrollment plan; and various alumni and faculty recaps.
The July, 1956, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as establishment of a Business Research Bureau; the hiring of 25 new faculty and various faculty updates; Jane Gilmore receiving the first AAUW fellowship at Tech; announcement of the Tech and McMurray College cooperative 5-year program in engineering; and the set up of an Institute of Engineering Research.
The November, 1954, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as upcoming homecoming activities; Casa Linda's move off campus; enrollment figures showing women in the minority; the halting of construction on Tech's gymnasium-natatorium due to lack of steel; new parking regulations to each parking problems on campus; plan to build the Saddle Tramp's Circle pep rally area; and the possibility of receiving a Mortar Board affiliation.
