Abstract

Description

The digital file consists of three issues of the Tex Talks publication published by the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association. The February, 1953, issue is on newsprint and is eight pages long. It contains a listing of the names of alumni who have donated towards the Loyalty Fund and a notice that more funding was needed to go towards a new Student Union Building at Texas Tech.
The July, 1953, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as faculty changes and promotions; athlete enrollment; Tech owning a portion of the PanTech Farms in Panhandle, Texas; more box seats opening at Jones Stadium; the Board of Directors approving the placement of the Lubbock Auditorium-Coliseum on the Tech campus; and approval for a new cinder track on campus.
The October, 1953, issue is four pages long and includes such topics as enrollment; the Kuykendall Foundation establishing freshman scholarships at Tech; the installation of the Adelphi social club and colonization of Delta Gamma and Alpha Chi Omega sororities; and upcoming campus parking regulations.
