Abstract

Description

The PDF for the April 1950 is 4 pages long and is the first edition of the Tex Talks publication. Topics in this issue include the construction of the Music Building; insufficient funding for Ex-Students Association scholarships; retirement of two math professors; and the hiring of Carl "Moose" Mulleneaux to the Tech coaching staff.
The PDF for the July 1950 issue is 8 pages long and includes such topics as updates on alumni donations; W. B. "Dub" Rushing being named as next Ex-Students Association president; relocation of the the old Double T to the stadium; the first female graduates from engineering; and update on Texas Tech's silver anniversary plans; an increase in the number of graduate enrollments; changes in faculty statuses and retirements; and the reopening of the Seed Laboratory at Tech.
