Description

"The Catalyst" is comprised of 16 pages of student written articles, satires and political statements. This issue covered topics such as a satire on Arch Lamb's opposition against funding for a public urinal; scandals involving stock and real estate fraud; a new student bonding service; Chicano protests over the firing of Gus Guzman by the Community Action Agency; drug usage; music record reviews; Angela Yvonne Davis's arrest; part two of a guide to wine; police wire taps; and Dr. Paul Ehrlich's visit to Lubbock. The issue is the dated February 3-17, 1971, and sold for 25 cents.
