Description
"For Your Information" was a newsletter produced by the Office of University News and Publications at Texas Tech University for distribution to faculty and staff. It covered the highlights of what was happening at the university and listed upcoming events. The issues here are comprised of 12 issues that run from September 1, 1976 to March 16, 1977. Topics covered include the inauguration of new TTU president Cecil Mackey; the offering of a Master's degree in Agriculture; faculty hiring and promotions; the large attendance for the opening events at the Ranching Heritage Center; the introduction of a horse program in Animal Science; the establishment of the Crosbyton Solar Power Project; the costs of a joint teaching hospital between TTU and the Lubbock County Hospital District; the financing of the School of Medicine; the dedication of the University Center/Music Facility; tornado awareness; and the establishment of a University Scholars program.
