Description

"The Catalyst" is comprised of 12 pages of student written articles, editorials, satires and political statements. This issue covered topics such as the preceeding of The Catalyst lawsuit; seven marijuana plants growing in front of the Tech Student Union Building; Lubbock's upcoming bond election; a "Freshmen's Guide to Lubbock and Texas Tech"; failure of the Cambodian invasion; propane use to reduce pollution; a doctor's point of view on drug use; criticism of the military forces; various drug articles; criticism of the Lubbock Community Action Agency; abortion; criticism of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal's Charlie Guy; and numerous commentarty on the Vietnam war. The issue is the second summer edition, 1970, and sold for 25 cents.
