Description
Copy slide reproduced from the 1936 La Ventana yearbook of an audience attending a hearing. The caption in the yearbook stated "Hear ye! Hear ye! Clements vs. Nelson in the notorious libel case, in which Dorothy Frank Clements sued Lomer Nelson, Editor of the Toreador, for $50,000 for libel of character in the Toreador. The Worthy Editor was found 'Not Guilty' amidst the mad cheering of the court room."
