Description

"The Catalyst" is comprised of 8 pages of student written articles, editorials, satires and political statements. This issue covered topics such as supporting other local minority and non-main stream newspapers; Students for a Democratic Society protests in Chicago; the Vietnam War Moratorium; activism and riots, a Chicano protest in Abilene, Texas; expansion of the Texas Tech Student Union Building and dormitory housing issues; criticism of Dr. F. E. Eddleman; criticism of textbook policy; students wearing armbands in protest; and drug usage. The issue sold for 10 cents.
