Description
Photograph of two Texas Tech students, one jointly holding a December 1959 Lubbock telephone directory with the Masked Rider while his horse, Beau Black, stands between them. The loose press release tucked behind the photograph states "TEXAS TECH TWINS Grace and Kathryn Fletchtner of Dallas congratulate Tech's 1960 Red Raider, Hud Rhea of Lubbock, on his picture which appears on the Lubbock phone directory. Rhea, an animal husbandry major, must budget his time carefully to keep up his studies and meet the demands placed upon him as the personification of Tech's popular Spanish Don symbol. (Tech Photo)"
